Even before Lamar Odom was hospitalized, Khloe Kardashian admitted she was still trying to figure out where her relationship stood with James Harden.
In a newly-released interview, the reality star opens up about why she’s decided to be so private about her romance with an NBA-player boyfriend this time around.
Khloe Kardashian has surprisingly kept quiet about her relationship with James Harden since they’ve gotten together,and it’s because of Lamar Odom. Khloe admits that her marriage with the former Lakers star has her confused about her new romance with the Houston Rockets star.oops!
“I’ve learned from experience you just never know what happens in life,” she tells Yahoo! Style. “I’ve chosen to keep things closer to my heart until I figure it out. I love hard, I love who I love, and I don’t make any qualms about it. And I can’t wait for that to happen. I think I was so open and honest about my relationship with Lamar, which I don’t regret for a second; it was the best time of my life, but because you can’t just show these wonderful things and then not show the other stuff, like ‘Oh! Lamar disappeared!’, I had to explain I was going through a divorce, and people appreciate that and relate to that.”
It’s important to note that this interview likely took place before Khloe called off her divorce from Lamar after his hospitalization (the longer hair is a dead giveaway). If anything, this whole new ordeal has likely made the decision about who to be with even more difficult for the reality star, which is probably why she’s continued to keep quiet about where she stands with James (although, she has admitted they’re dating).
“Between Lamar and James, Khloe feels like a rubber band,” an insider previously told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She’s being stretched incredibly thin. Her heart is big and she loves both men. She spends time with each of them as much as she possibly can because she loves them. She doesn’t look at it as a chore or obligation.” While Khloe has been by Lamar’s side for most of the last month, she also flew to Houston to spend time with James for his first basketball game of the season. Khloe has said she won’t be getting back together with Lamar, but since she’s admittedly keeping these feelings a lot closer to herself this time around, it’s likely we won’t be hearing too much about any decisions regarding love from her!
